Casual Admission

Everyone is welcome at BALC.  Assisting people of all ages and stages in their health and wellness journey.

Children under 5 are FREE with a paying adult. If there is more than 1 child under 5 with a paying adult they must pay for the additional child/ren.
A carer or companion is able to enter BALC free if they are accompanying a paying person they are caring for.
If the carer or companion is not accompanying someone, then they will be charged a concession rate for the service they are wishing to use.
Concession prices available upon presentation of a valid pension card, health care card, student card, DVA health card and repatriation health card.
20 visit and 50 visit passes are also available.
Over 60’s classes are marked on the timetable with
. Casual group fitness price includes 2x 30 minute consecutive express classes on the same day.

It’s important to us that patrons feel safe whilst working out and having fun.

Conditions of entry are subject to change without notice. Management reserves the right to refuse entry.  Refusal to comply with these conditions of entry may result in the removal of the offender from the Centre.
Entry to the facility is only permitted to patrons who agree to have any bag and/or articles of clothing searched on entry and continued presence in the facility is only permitted to patrons who agree to have any bags and/or articles of clothing searched at any time.


GENERAL

  • This is a non-smoking venue
  • Please observe pool rules at all times
  • Please shower before entering the water
  • Management reserves the right to refuse entry
  • Alcohol is not permitted inside the Centre.
  • Any persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted into the centre
  • Members and guests are required to follow staff directions at all times, failure to do so may result in eviction from the Centre
  • Approved swimwear is to be worn at all times when using aquatic facilities
  • Anyone attempting to gain entry without paying or without authorisation will be prosecuted
  • Glass bottles, other articles containing glass and sharp objects are not to be carried or used in all dry and aquatic areas
  • Abusive, disruptive or offensive behaviour and language are not permitted
  • No pets or animals permitted in the Centre, with the exception of Guide Dogs
  • Management welcomes the capturing of your magic moments on camera and video cameras however the privacy of others must be respected. The use of camera and video cameras at this venue is conditional upon the following
      • You must have all relevant individuals consent to take and use images
      • It is illegal to broadcast or publish images without consent
      • Under no circumstances are cameras, video cameras and mobile phones to be used in the change rooms
  • The Centre accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen belongings
  • Rollerblades, skateboards, and scooters cannot be left with Front Desk staff while using the Centre
  • The user/hirer must indemnify and keep indemnified and hold harmless the Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre Management from and against all actions, claims, penalties, demands, costs, expenses or damages in anyway related to any act or omission of Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre Management or of any persons acting on behalf of the Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre Management in respect to the use of services and the facilities at the centre

CHILD SUPERVISION

  • Children under 5 must have a responsible adult in the water and be within arm’s reach at all times
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied in the Centre and actively supervised by a responsible person over 16 years of age

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Management reserves the right to inspect any bag and/or articles of clothing for the following prohibited items:

  • Alcohol – alcohol is not permitted inside the Centre. Any persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted into the centre (as per conditions of entry)
  • Glass bottles, other articles containing glass and sharp objects are not to be carried or used in all dry and aquatic areas (as per conditions of entry)

EQUIPMENT

Management reserves the right to inspect any bag and/or articles of clothing for the following prohibited items:

  • Whistles & musical instruments
  • Unauthorised temporary signage and promotional products
  • Fireworks/flares/laser lights
  • Chairs/stools
  • Unauthorised professional cameras, audio recording equipment or video cameras

OTHER

Any other item that in the opinion of management could cause harm or public nuisance

Access and Inclusion

BALC prides itself on providing an environment suitable for people of all abilities. Our facilities, programs and services welcome people with various disabilities and support everyone to lead an active lifestyle.

To assist in providing a convenient and enjoyable experience, within the Centre you will find:

  • Accessible designated parking
  • Wheelchair access
  • All abilities change rooms
  • Hydraulic spa hoist
  • Gradual railed ramp entry to 50m Pool and Multipurpose Pool
  • Electronic pool lift for use in the aquatic area

In addition, free entry is permitted to carers and companions on presentation of a carers or companion card.

We also provide individual specialised fitness programs tailored to suit the needs of people with a disability, as well as specialised programs for schools and agencies working with people with special needs.

Community

In offering corporate membership discounts and donations to non-profit organisations, we aim to increase the amount of people within the community engaging in an active lifestyle.
