The Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre (BALC) is excited to host the next generation of junior swimmers this month for the School Sports Australia Games!
This major event will bring together over 1300 students and team officials, along with at least 1000 family members, descending upon Ballarat for a week of thrilling competition. Using a range of Ballarat’s premier sporting facilities, it is expected the event will inject almost $2 million into the Ballarat economy.
Please be aware of the following closures and service disruptions at BALC during the 5-day swimming events:
– The 50m pool will be CLOSED to the public from 2:30pm on Friday 24 October 2025 to 8:45pm on Wednesday 29 October 2025.
– There will be limited availability in the 25m pool during event period.
– Car parking may be impacted during the event. Please plan ahead and allow extra time to ensure you arrive to your scheduled class or lesson on time.
– Deep Water Run will not run on 25, 27 & 28 October.
– Aqua Fit will not run on 28 & 29 October.
– Sensory Quiet Time will not run during event period.
