
As a registered provider for the Victorian Government’s Get Active Kids program, we’re helping families make it easier for children to participate in physical activities.
Eligible children aged 0–18 years can receive a $200 voucher to use towards Swimming or Gymnastics Lessons.
Voucher applications open in rounds throughout the year. For eligibility criteria, application dates, and expiry details, visit the Get Active Victoria website.
Once you receive your voucher and have enrolled your child into lessons, please email the voucher to balc@ballarat.vic.gov.au
How Do I Claim the Voucher?
- Check that you and your child meet the eligibility criteria.
- Apply for the voucher at this link.
- Select Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre, Lake Gardens as your provider and choose your preferred activity.
- Enrol in your chosen program via the BALC Online Portal.
- Once enrolled, email your voucher to balc@ballarat.vic.gov.au

It’s a Victorian Government initiative that supports families by reimbursing costs for organised sport and recreation activities. This includes membership fees, uniforms, and equipment. Eligible children can receive up to $200.
Parents or guardians of children aged 0–18 who are listed on a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card and Medicare Card.
Each round has a specific expiry date. Be sure to submit your voucher within the designated claim period. Visit the Get Active Victoria website for details.
The voucher can be used for any program offered by an approved provider. We are one of them! You may use the voucher for either Swimming or Gymnastics lessons—just choose one.
We can apply the $200 voucher to your account for future direct debits.
Alternatively, If you are requesting a reimbursement, email balc@ballarat.vic.gov.au and we will send you a tax invoice of your previous payments which can be claimed via the Active Kids website.

Important Information
- A full enrolment must be completed for each child via our membership portal. You must include payment method details.
- The $200 credit will be applied to your child’s account and used to cover approximately 10 lessons (around 5 fortnightly payments, depending on the program).
- You’ll receive a confirmation email once the credit is applied.
- Your child’s enrolment will automatically roll over to the following term if you do not cancel.
- You must complete an online cancellation form if you do not want to continue with the enrolment at the end of term.
- Any unused credit at the time of cancellation will not be refunded.
