The number of lanes available depends on BALC programming as well as bookings by clubs and community members.
Lane lane availability is a guide only, and does not show how busy the available lanes are at any given time. We make every effort to keep lap lane availability as accurate as possible, however please note that pool availability is subject to change at short notice.
50m Pool in 25m Mode
The 50m pool will be closed each weekday between 2:30pm – 3pm while our team move the boom. From 3pm each weekday, the 50m pool will be in 25m mode – during this time, the south end of the pool (closest to the changerooms) is available for recreational swimming and programmed aqua classes.

Lap lane etiquette
- Select a lane based on your ability
- Keep to the left of the lane while swimming
- Wait until the end of the lane to pass a swimmer in front of you
- Check both directions before moving across any lanes
- Stand in the corners of the lane to allow other swimmers to continue swimming laps
