Summer just got even better for Ballarat and Buninyong locals! The City of Ballarat has announced free entry to Black Hill and Buninyong Outdoor Pools for the 2025/26 summer season.
Residents within the Ballarat Local Government Area can enjoy unlimited access to these community-favourite pools by registering for a free Season Pass.

Claiming your FREE Season Pass is easy. From Monday 17 November 2025, simply follow these steps:
- Click this link and sign up via the Online Portal
- Select Black Hill and Buninyong Season Pass and create an account
- Visit either Black Hill or Buninyong Outdoor Pools during opening hours to collect your card with valid ID
Black Hill and Buninyong Outdoor Pools will open on Saturday 29 November 2025.
Anyone with an existing BALC Online account will need to log in and select ‘Contract Details’ and ‘Add Contract’ to link the Season Pass to their account.
A season pass is available to anyone that lives in the Ballarat Local Government Area. You will need to show proof of ID and residency when you collect your pass.
If you are a current member of the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre, you already have free access to all City of Ballarat managed outdoor pools.

Children under the age of 18 years must have a parent or guardian with them when collecting their Season Pass, along with proof of residency.
